Red Lake Adventures

Not going to write much on this post, I will on the next post! What you will see below is some of the wildlife and the northern lights in this beautiful town called Red Lake. This place is a nice quiet town with a lot of wildlife around and some great scenic landscapes. I am currently here as a Fire Ranger for the MNR and being stationed here allows me to take these pictures in my spare time. I have made some great relationships here with other interested photographers, and we are making it a weekly and/or daily routine to go out and test our photography skills. All I can say is that I love this place, and I am very happy that I will be here all summer working for the MNR and taking photos whenever I can! Enjoy! 🙂

Red Lake, Northern Lights

As usual I am always taking forever to update my website with new content, however, I have good reason! As a Forestry student at Algonquin college, my time of leisure is very limited since the program I am taking is a condensed course. I started in September 2015 and I am currently on my placement, which has started May 2, 2016. I am at Red Lake Fire Management Headquarters for my placement and I am here to learn and potentially be a Fire Ranger for the next year’s fire season of 2017. So far I am really enjoying my time here and I can honestly say I am going to miss this place when I have to leave to return to school on May 29, 2016. I will be back though, and that’s my plan for my future, be a Fire Ranger, and take lots of amazing photographs while I have the opportunity to be so far North of Toronto, 24 hrs to be exact!

Anyways, I am writing this post to show you the Northern Lights that occurred May 7 at 11:00 PM – May 8 at 2:00 AM. They went on for a couple hours after I am sure, but I had to get to bed at some point! The lights were pulsating and dancing through the sky and the storm was most active at around midnight – 2:00 AM. In that time, the Northern Lights were dancing and pulsating so intensely, it was like the entire sky had a heartbeat and you could see it beating and coming to life, it truly was something out of this world. By far one of the best Aurora Borealis storms I have ever seen! At one point in the night, the Northern Lights were everywhere around us, like we were in the eye of the storm and it had to be one of the greatest experiences I have ever been apart of. I’ll never forget this night and I’ll never have too, after capturing such beauty that night. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do, that night truly was an amazing experience.

Lunar Eclipse/Supermoon Sept 27, 2015

Well it has been about 3 decades since we have had a Supermoon Eclipse and tonight came with disappointment. The clouds took over the sky and left me with little to no chances to capture the eclipse. However, with a little luck, the skies did open up for me and I managed to capture one good shot of this “once in a life time event”! Hopefully, 18 years from now, when the next Supermoon Eclipse happens, we will have a clear night ! Enjoy 🙂

British Columbia, Finally Uploaded!

Hey everyone, I know it has been quite sometime since I have posted anything to the website/blog. I have been rather busy this past year with trying to figure out what to do next in life and where to go next. Well I have spent the year saving up as best as I could to go to school again for a different field of work, however I will still keep up the photography! Photography is something that will never leave me and I it. It’s my passion, my art, my drive for living; I love it, but it is hard to live off a photography income and therefore I need to start a new career! Although, the career I will be going to school for is part of being out in the wilderness and working in nature. Forestry Technician, is the title of my program and I will have a lot of opportunities and career choices to take after I finish, most or all fields will still allow me to take pictures of the great outdoors and of our amazing wildlife. So that is my plan, and I will do my best to keep everyone updated via my blog, but I do apologize in advance if you don’t see any posts on here for awhile!

With that being said, I have finally finished my trip across Canada. British Columbia is completed and I hope you all enjoy it!

Thank you everyone again for supporting me and viewing my work, it means a lot to me and I am glad I have such wonderful fans!

Website Remodeled

Hi everyone,

Well, how do you like it?

I have recently, with the help from my dad, an IT Engineer, completely re-done my website! I hope, to all my fans, that this website will be much easier to use, navigate through and view my work. There are several new additions to my domain name, such as the store, galleries and a beautiful home page where you can see some of my best images ! This website is still a working progress and I have a lot to do still, but for now please enjoy what I do have up here. You can view my photos from my trip across Canada in the http://www.davidkeller.ca/galleries/ section. You will notice BC, is not yet up there but it will be in due time!

Whats next?

I will be working on my Store these upcoming weeks, to get the best of what I have captured out there online and available to buy. After my store is fully stocked, I will be working on BC and then I will start adding photos that I have taken since I’ve been home from my trip. I’m hoping to get out again as soon as possible to photograph some of the winter season, if winter ever decides to come!

Thank you everyone for being my fans and viewing my work 🙂
